Instructions
- Heat the oven to 220 degrees C / 425 degrees F. Line two large baking trays with parchment paper. Arrange the mini pita breads or pizza bases in a single layer.
- Spread about 1 1/2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over each base, leaving a small border. Divide the mozzarella evenly among the 12 pizzas and sprinkle with oregano if using.
- Make the spiders: Halve 12 black olives lengthwise for the bodies. Cut small olive pieces for the heads and slice the remaining olives into thin strips for eight legs per spider. Place a half olive cut-side down on each pizza, add a head, and arrange four olive strips on each side. Use additional olives if needed for the legs.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, rotating the trays halfway through, until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the edges are lightly golden. If using a raw mini pizza dough instead of ready-to-eat bases, follow its package instructions and bake until the dough is cooked through.
- Let the pizzas cool for a few minutes. Reposition any olive legs that moved during baking and serve warm.
